基礎薬学講座 生物化学部門
生物化学教室は1号館の3階、ちょうど図書館の真上に当たる位置にあります。メンバーは、板部教授、小濱准教授、牧山助教、渡邉助教、大学院生1名、研究生2名、さらに足球比分网4年度の学部生(P4~P6)25名が加わっています。講座紹介
現在は、まさに薬学の変革期であります。薬学分野全体が医療を担う一員として、研究においても実務においても、社会との接点を積極的に開拓しようとしています。高齢化社会が現実となってきた現在、いわゆる生活習慣病などの疾患に関する理解をより深めることの重要性が高まっています。生物化学部門では、動脈硬化症、メタボリックシンドローム、非アルコール性肝疾患などの疾患に関わる因子の解明を目指して、脂質代謝、炎症、酸化ストレスなどの観点から生化学研究を進めてきました。常に新しい技術、新しい視点を加えて、疾患に迫る薬学研究を展開したいと思います。教育

生物化学教室では、現在以下の研究テーマを柱としています。1)好中球ネトーシスと動脈硬化症
2)細胞内脂肪滴の形成と小胞輸送機構
3)非アルコール性脂肪肝炎(NAFLD)における好中球の関与
4)血漿リポタンパク質の酸化変性の分子論的解析
沿革
1964年に薬学部が設立されて4年目の1967年に、薬学部に2つ目の学科として生物薬学科が増設されました。この時に新たに作られた7つの講座の一つとして、生物化学教室が設置されました。教室開設後、2号館1階、1号館4階と場所を変えましたが、1977年に現在生物化学教室のある1号館3階生化学系教室のブロックに移動して以来、今に至っています。
初代主任教授は、東京工業大学から昭和大学教養部を経て着任した中村泰治先生(教授在任期間1967~1991)です。中村教授は、神経伝達物質の代謝の研究をスタートに、神経細胞の膜タンパク質や情報伝達系の研究に取り組まれました。
1991年中村先生のご定年を受けて、中谷一泰先生が助教授から昇任し二代目の教授として教室を受け継がれました(教授在任期間1991~2004)。中谷先生はがん細胞の研究、とくにがん細胞を特異的にプログラム細胞死に導く種々の薬物を見出され、またそれらのユニークなアポトーシス誘導機構に関して研究を進められました。
現在の板部洋之教授(教授在任期間2004~)は、現代人の健康を脅かしている動脈硬化症やメタボリックシンドロームの基盤となる、リポタンパク質の酸化変性、細胞レベルでの脂質代謝?蓄積のしくみ、細胞内脂肪滴と脂質代謝制御についての研究を進めています。2017年には中谷教授の喜寿のお祝いを兼ねて同窓会を開き、中村名誉教授をはじめ多くの超える卒業生?旧教職員が旧交を温め、また6年制で学ぶ後輩を紹介しました。
